Studioworks vs Harvest
What changed
In August 2026 the BBC reported that Harvest had raised some customers’ bills “by as much as 1500%”: a UK consultancy’s monthly bill went from $130 to $2,110, and a US customer’s annual charge from $2,800 to $23,000. Bending Spoons acquired Harvest in 2025; the new pricing arrived in 2026, and annual customers meet it at renewal.
Harvest’s explanation, from a spokesperson quoted by the BBC: customers on “outdated” legacy plans, some dating back to 2011, faced larger increases as the product became “a significantly more powerful” tool; customers are notified 30 days and 10 days before renewal; and they can switch plans “in one click.”
Three bills
Three Harvest customers posted their billing screens on r/HarvestApp. Harvest’s figures are from those screens, beside what the same studio pays here. These are bills customers posted; we could not verify them.

The renewal email
As a Harvest customer posted it (r/HarvestApp, August 2026), in Harvest’s words:
“On your next renewal date, September 25, 2026, your account will be transitioned to a Harvest Enterprise plan with Unlimited usage billing. You will be automatically billed $1,158.00 for your new annual plan. You can always downgrade to Flex usage billing, which would have an estimated price of $360.00 and would adapt to your annual usage.”
The fee on payments
Harvest adds its own fee to card and bank-transfer payments for accounts not on Unlimited billing, and shows the amount only inside the app (Harvest help, read Sep 28, 2026). On the first bill above, the one place “Harvest Payment Fees” appears is the $499-a-month Unlimited package, at 0%.
Studioworks: $39 a month, every invoice, every client, every project — and $5 is the most a bank transfer costs.
