Studioworks helps run your business with the same care and attention you bring to your work.
You need tools to run your business — from sending off the scope of work to invoicing and accepting online payments, plus everything in between. We run studios and got tired of patching together (and paying for) multiple platforms that fell short and did nothing for client relationships. So we built our own.

Create a proposal with our intuitive builder, send a link, and your client signs it online with no account to create and no “did you get my email?” — it’ll be the easiest job kickoff you’ve ever experienced. A signed proposal creates the project and the deposit invoice in the same motion, so as soon as your client says yes, you can get payments rolling in.

This is your hub, not ours — it’s designed to match your business with custom colors, curated fonts, and your logo taking center stage. Get paid every way
And keep more of your money. A bank transfer costs you at most $5. When your client pays by card, they see the fee before they choose it.
Unlike other payment platforms, we skim nothing off the top. Payments run on your own Stripe account, so your money never sits with us, and you can add instructions for checks, wires, and any other way you get paid.

You might be wondering
Is this just invoicing?
It was, when we launched. Studioworks is now proposals your clients sign online, invoices and recurring billing, reminders, every way to get paid, and a hub where each client finds everything you’ve shared with them, organized by project. It is built for client services businesses — freelancers, studios, and agencies — and every plan includes all of it. Files are next.
Who is Studioworks for?
Anyone who does work for clients and bills them for it: designers, illustrators, photographers, writers, developers, and the studios and agencies they grow into. If you send a proposal, do the work, and send an invoice, it was built for you. The three plans are three sizes of the same product, not three feature sets.
Will my clients need an account?
No. The link you send is the key. It opens every proposal and invoice you’ve ever sent them, and they can sign and pay from there — no password, nothing to create. If they lose it, they enter their email and we send another.
Do I need a Stripe account?
You need one to take card and bank-transfer payments, and Studioworks connects to it in a few minutes — the one you already run your business on, or a new one if you don’t have one yet. Either way the account is yours: your money goes to you, not through us. Check, wire, and every other way to pay work without Stripe at all.
What does it cost to get paid?
Stripe’s rates, and nothing of ours. A bank-transfer (ACH) payment costs 0.8% with a $5 maximum, so $5 is the most you’ll pay on any invoice over $625, however large. A card payment’s fee is set by the card, up to 3%, and by default your client pays it, not you — you can turn that off. Checks and wires cost nothing. The only money Studioworks ever makes from you is the subscription.
Can I use it alongside what I have?
Yes, and for many studios that’s the cheaper arrangement. Send your invoices from Studioworks and change nothing else: what you save in fees can cover Studioworks and the tool you already pay for. Your accountant, your bookkeeping, and your files stay exactly where they are.
Can I import from another platform?
We’re building a Harvest import now — clients, projects, and invoices. For anything else, send us an export and we’ll tell you what we can do with it. Most people don’t need to import anything: they start with their next invoice and let the old tool keep the old ones.
Does Studioworks use AI?
No. We are open to using AI down the road in specific and utilitarian ways, like to help translate static documents into editable Studioworks files. Our team has strong feelings about AI and will only consider using it if we can do so ethically and with the consent of our members.
